That’s the whole of it. And no, not a nickname! So, Bambi. Born on May 15th, 1993 in the Dutch city Nijmegen.

After I graduated in June ’16 as a bachelor graphic designer from the art academy AKV | St. Joost in Den Bosch, I’ve worked as a junior graphic designer at Het Lab ontwerp + advies in Arnhem for 6 months, and as a freelance graphic designer at  Einder Communicatie in Nijmegen. In September of 2017 I started with the brand new master ‘Digital Design‘ at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, which I will complete in the summer of 2018.

During my study at the art academy, I also completed the minor ‘Scripting for designers‘ at the HAN in Arnhem, where I learned the basics of HTML, CSS, Javascript and Adobe Edge. Before the four years in Den Bosch I did another year of graphic design at the HKU (Utrecht) and before that I earned my HAVO diploma at the Montessori College in Nijmegen.

If you’re interested in my complete CV, you can see it over here!

A short list of my personal fascinations and small things I love and admire, of which you’ll see a lot of in my work as well:

concerts and festivals • playing (bass)guitar • looking at the stars and planets • the moon and the sun • freckles • nice typography, lyrics, words, quotes and poetry • movies and TV shows • coffee • (but tea too, sometimes) • staying up late • amazing, original tattoos (incl. my own) • long hugs • my ‘before-i-go-to-bed’ playlist • font-websites • lasercutting (and the smell it gives) • seeing someone being completely absorbed by what they’re doing • writing- although i often don’t know what to write about • long trips by train • ‘delicious letters’, and the knowledge that non-designers have no clue what you’re talking about • endlessly learning about stuff
